Meet the Mamas

As elementary teachers and mamas to toddlers, we wanted to share our love of sensory play with others. We see the benefits in our classrooms and homes for all types of learners.

At the start of 2020, when most parents were home with their kids, we started getting calls from friends and family asking for suggestions on how parents could teach their kids at home. We knew parents were stressed and busy and needed to get things accomplished. We always used sensory activities for calming and play strategies, but we wanted to take it further.

Our Read and Play Box was developed to give Mamas (and Dadas, Nanas, Papas and any adult) a break while knowing that their child is learning through their play. We wanted to incorporate our love of literacy and education directly into hands on exploration. Parents will see an increase in their child's imagination, fine motor skills, cognitive development and love of reading!
